Wow do I suck

What the hell can I say? It's been a long time, been a long time, been a long, lonely,lonely, lonely, lonely,lonely......time. Life has been busy as shit. I've been working hard, playing hard and doing some part time side work, that appears to have dried up. Now enter the upcoming lawn work and my Sundays will be shot too. I will try to do better than 3 week gaps, but don't count on it.

Took the lawn mower out of storage for the first time in 4 years yesterday (I used to have a service, now I don't). It took longer to tune it up and get it running than it took to cut the damn grass. But tune it up I did. Plug, air cleaner, oil change, new blade, new gas, the thing runs mint. Back to one-pull starting, just as new. Good thing it is a Craftsman with a Briggs and Stratton motor. An MTD or Lawn Boy may not have survived the storage.

Got really trashed Friday night, saying good bye to a bar called Sentimental Journey after bowling. Sure it was a dive spot, and the bathroom smelled like piss, but it was "home". Okay, not home, but it's relatively close to home and we always had a good time there. Owner has cancer, and it's too much for her to keep running it. I don't see recovery in her future, as she still smokes like a chimney and drinks like a fish. Too bad, her bar will be missed. Probably more than she will be missed, but I digress.

Well that didn't work

As many of you know, I bowl on Friday nights. As you also may know, I pretty well suck with a 128 average....not good at all.
I recently (when I had been drinking) surmised that my bowling progressively got better as the evenings progressed. My rationale is that I thought less about the game as I drink more, so the logical solution was to be more drunk for the beginning of the evening, just to loosen up. I recently acquired Fridays off in exchange for working Sundays, so the opportunity was there yesterday to get liquored up and test my theory. A buddy of mine came over, and we proceeded to shoot pool and drink starting at 2:00. The idea was to hang for a couple hours take a little nap, have another beer then go bowling. What actually happened was 9 beers in three hours, going straight to bowling and having 4 or 5 more.
Needless to say the night was a complete bust and I was safely tucked in bed by 10:00pm. I don't have many recollections, except that my high game was a fucking 98.

Should I test the bowling totally sober theory next week? NAH!

I don't give a fuck

I can't get motivated today. Really I haven't been motivated in awhile. Some may call it laziness, but I just can't seem to focus on work today. Could it be the difference in jobs? Could it be that I feel like I'm not really doing anything anyway, so fuck it? Could it be that I took a mass pay cut?

Yeah it could be any of those things, but fuck it. I'll write here instead.

I owe you fuckers a post

Yeah, this time almost 3 weeks have gone by. Gosh, I suck at this thing, fricking IDIOT!
At least I didn't go private and forget to invite people, then I'd be a major league asshole.

SO much has gone on since I last posted, perhaps that's why I haven't ben available. We went on a cruise on Valentines Day for 5days/4 nights. Well, really, since we left on THursday at 4pm, does that really count as a day? Granted we were on the boat at around 1:00pm, so it's definitely half a day. Then we returned on Monday, and were off the boat by 10:00am. So that doesn't really count as a day either. So if there were truth in advertising, it would be a 4 night-3 day-1/2 day and 1/4 day trip. Whatever, who gives a fuck?
Things were awesome until Sunday, when BUZZ meister started to get the cold that Jewel had allegedly left at home, but then picked up again on Friday. Come to think of it, we went with like 18 people and at least half of us were sick in some form or the other, either on the cruise or shortly thereafter returning. And mine lingered, I'm still a little nasal congested, and only started hearing normally this past Wednesday. Still, I think a good time was had by all, but not as good as it was last year when we did it for mine and Jewel's wedding vow renewal on a different cruise line. This time the service kind of blew, and my younger brother had some security issues regarding his and his daughter's boarding passes. We've sailed this line before, not this boat, and have never seen any cruise line so unresponsive in foxing things up, or at least greasing the proverbial palm. Nothing....nada....zilch. My brother-in-law came in third in a karaoke contest, which was great. No, his winning wasn't great, what was great was that it really pissed off my older brother who's a retired Elvis impersonator. The poor bastard didn't even make the finals. Of course he had every excuse in the book, including the judges. THAT is what made it so great. Yeah, I didn't place either, but I wasn't drunk enough at the points that I sang songs that I really need to be drunk to sing. One of which was "Play that Funky Music", which the crowd loved, but the judges didn't. Then the second night I tried "Wanted Dead or Alive", and agree that it wasn't finals worthy. Se la vis. I should have done my signature song, which was "Vehicle", but I did it the first night and it wasn't a contest night.
Then on the last night they had this 80's tribute thing and I got to lip sync to Aerosmith's "walk This Way", that was actually pretty cool. The crowd loved it. When Jewel forks over the pics, I'll post them. It's been 17 years since I had so much hair.

Well, tht's enough for this installment of the life and times of BUZZ, so adios bitches! I will attempt to post once a day this week, to try to catch up on shit and just get in the habit of posting again. Don't count on it though.....

Another week plus goes by and I blow off posting for that entire time.

Winter sucks. My brother just bought a new Harley Road King, and it helped me to realize that I will never have that option again. At least not for a very long time. What really sucks is it will be at least 2-3 months before I get to ride again. I can't wait, as I can finally start riding to and from work, a luxury I never had with a start time of 3AM and the necessity of having my vehicle at my beck and call.

Another thing I miss about summer is yard games, Baggo and Ladder Ball to name them exactly. Winter equals no Baggo... or does it?

I saw this last Saturday night and again last night at two different bars. It seems to be all the rage much like that Golf game was a few years back. I played it last Saturday and it was pretty cool. Three different toss styels, tournament play, different wind speeds and directions, many variables to make it seem like the real thing. It will never be the real thing, but.... it will do in the middle of winter.

Who the fuck cares? Actually, I do. 28 years old is too young for anyone to check out. Whether intentional or not, it sucks. Personally, I think it was the stress of Hollywood freaking him out causing the sleepless nights and he just over did it with Ambien. The dude could act too, much beyond his most famous performance in Bareback Mountme. I just saw a flick called Candy that he was in, it was a great movie about heroin addiction. Not a real well known film, but every bit the drug movie that Less Than Zero was, in my opinion. Check it out sometime.

I love my job, but the scratch is a little light. Sure, I gots enough to pay da bills, but I have no BUZZ money. It's for that reason that I'm taking my Karaoke show on the road. I've got a pretty cool set up, 6 channel amp, two decent PA speakers, DVD player and 13,000 songs. Part of me wants to do it, and part doesn't. I'm gonna shoot for booking week nights, so it doesn't fuck up my weekend partying schedule. I mean who the fuck cares if you're a little tired at work, as long as your weekends aren't fucked up!

Well, I finally did it today.After much debate and one previous phone call to upgrade my radios for free, I called Sirius to cancel my two subscriptions.

B: I would like to cancel my service

S: Why are you cancelling?

B: My two radios have been acting up, and I can't afford to re-up for a year AND buy two new radios.

S: How about if I send you two new radios, credit your account $50, send you two free Fm Transmitter adapters and two install cards?

B: Uhm, okay, what type of radios? I don't want crappy radios.S: Starmate4B: Wait a minute, you're going to do all that just to retain me?

S: YepB: OK, Done!

So that's the tip kids, call to cancel and they'll give you the world. That's $440 worth of goods and services, just so I can pay $176 on what should be a $226 subscription. I called everyone I know to tell them to do the same, and next year I'll do it again, just for 3 months free!

I'm glad that the Holidays are over

I mean, who the hell ISN'T happy they're over? Sure, they were nice, we spent too much money, and I had a few relaxing weeks in a row. However, I'm glad to be getting back to business. Nothing sucks more than trying to get something done at work, only to receive " I'll be out of the office through 01/01/08 or some bullshit date! Unless I'm out of the office, YOU should be in the office. Fuck YOU!!!!

Say Hello to my friend Disco Dot! He was on the cruise ship that we were recently on, working at the Johnny Rockets. Those fucking guys work like animals! We went there for lunch when they opened at 1:00 and then went back with my sister and her clan at 1:00am and it was entirely the same crew! Now THERE'S a work ethic!

It's pretty cool though that they had a Johnny Rockets on board the ship. The best part about it, is it was 100% authentic. The bad part about it, was it cost an extra caover charge to eat there, even though food is included on the cruise. They also charge in addition to the cover for milkshakes. FUck it, we had A $500 bar bill going, so what's an extra $15 more?

In addition to one Wii and one Pug for the kid's Christmases, we decided to "adopt" our pug's brother from Jewel's sister-in-law. There are now two of them shitting up the place. They are cute as hell though. Here's baby Jewel and her two newest "babies".
